Description: The artist mentor will support individuals with intellectual uniqueness to pursue their artistic passions, to create artwork to be shown in a gallery setting, and to explore community connections based on their interests.

*Located in Biddeford, ME

The Art Certificate Program is an alternative art space for artists with intellectual uniqueness located in downtown Biddeford. We are a diverse, unique, and exciting program, looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate artist mentor/DSP to work with incredibly talented folks as they learn about the foundations of art, choose a concentration, and ultimately earn a Certificate of Art. Our focus is on community engagement, professional development, art education, and bringing contemporary ideas and projects to our local and national arts communities.

Include, but not limited to:
* Advocate and serve as an appropriate role model for the individual, and treat them with dignity and respect.
* Participate in developing and carrying out plans to meet the needs of the individual.
* Organize, supervise, and interact with the individual supported.
* Be creative with planning activities in the community.
* Transport individuals in the community in a company van.
* Complete required documentation.
* Other Duties as assigned.

No Previous Experience Necessary

REQUIRED TO HAVE:

* HS Diploma and/or HiSet/GED/Transcript
* Willingness to undergo Background Checks in accordance with local law/regulations
* Have an acceptable driving record and background checks (including criminal, APS, CPS, Driving Record and More..
* Have a valid driver’s license; issued in the USA
* Auto Insurance on Vehicle; name must be listed on policy and/or as a covered driver on the policy
* Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.

Full-Time Position Available

Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour.

Daily Schedule:
Monday - Friday
8:45AM - 4:00PM
